Complaint
Description: On May 24, 2017, Plaintiff was riding his bike on Myrtle Ave. in Brooklyn when an SUV vehicle abruptly turned in front of Plaintiff and into his path of travel without prior indication such as a turn signal, forcing Plaintiff to turn his bike quickly and nearly crashing. Shortly there after, Defendant Officers, including Officer Jaffey, who were the operators of the SUV, detained Plaintiff. After about 30 minutes, Plaintiff was falsely issued a Summons for allegedly committing the crime of Disorderly Conduct, with Defendant Officers indicating Plaintiff blocked vehicular traffic with his bike. On December 1, 2017, Plaintiff’s case was dismissed.
