Description: The plaintiff stayed home from work because she was ill. That morning she heard loud continuous banging on her apartment door and voices. She opened the door to 3 firemen and 2 NYPD officers, and her building manager. The plaintiff stepped into the hallway. One of the officers asked to enter the apartment because there was a leak that was causing damage in the apartment below. There was no leak. The plaintiff re-entered her apartment to get paper so she could get the officer's names. When she turned to re-enter one of the officers grabbed her and threw her against the hallway wall.
