Description: On December 20th, 2011, plaintiff Santia Arroyo was inside her apartment at 1735 Madison Avenue, Apt #4E, when Defendant NYPD officers Michael Vega and Wanda Perez entered in response to a 911 call of potential elder abuse. The NYC Criminal Court found on January 27, 2014, that the entry lacked probable cause, a warrant, or consent, and no emergency justified the entry, nor did the officers conduct any investigation prior to entry. When the defendant officers entered the residence, the paraplegic plaintiff was sitting in her wheelchair in the living room.
