He was one of seven defendants charged in two murder cases - the murder of Denise Raymond on January 17, 1995 and the murder of Baithe Diop on January 19th 1995. Description: On February 10, 1995 Plaintiff was sitting on the stoop of his apartment building when he was swarmed by plainclothes police officers. Plaintiff was then arrested. He was initially told he was being arrested for bank robbery but was later told he was being arrested for murder. Plaintiff was accused of 2 murders, and convicted on March 5, 1997. This conviction was false. Plaintiff's convictions were ultimately vacated and he was released from prison on January 23, 2013.

The dispatcher told police that she believed the voice to be of a woman named Yvette, though the caller didn't identify herself. Diop, a cab driver, was dispatched to the call and found dead around 4:30AM from two gunshot wounds in the Bronx.
