While walking away, plaintiffs were approached by armed, plainclothes officers who searched and physically assaulted them. Defendant officers handcuffed plaintiffs, transported them to the 41st precinct and performed strip searches. Plaintiffs were charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
