Complaint
Description: Defendant Officers were called to a three-quarter house in response to an Emotionally Disturbed Person. They found Plaintiff, the EDP, locked naked in his room. Defendant Officers made multiple attempts to enter the room even though the Plaintiff posed no threat. Eventually officers used a blade to cut open to door and cut Plaintiff multiple times. Once they entered, they used excessive force and tasers to arrest him, take him into custody, and bring him to the hospital. Plaintiff died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Description: On October 14, 2011, Ariel Douglas was serving as a legal observer in connection with the Occupy Wall Street Movement. Defendant NYPD officer Anthony Difrancesca aggress rode his police scooter into Douglas, causing him to fall down and ran over his leg. Difrancesca stopped his scooter while it was on Douglas' right foot and got off it. Douglas kicked the scooter off him and a number of John Does police officers, including Jerome Allen and Sergeant Brian Byrnes, manhandled Douglas using police batons and banged his head on the roadway.
