Description: On January 1, 2012, as plaintiffs were participating in an Occupy Wall Street protest as photojournalists, defendants approached, detained and arrested plaintiffs. Plaintiffs were released after 7 hours in custody. Defendants Vera and Pitre subsequently provided false information to prosecutors to justify plaintiffs' arrest and to enable their prosecution on false charges. All charges brought against plaintiffs were subsequently dismissed.

Description: On January 1, 2012, Plaintiff was filming a protest associated with the Occupy Wall Street movement. NYPD Officer William Taylor ordered the demonstrators to keep moving, upon which Plaintiff began walking away from the demonstration. When he reached the end of the block, he was arrested without cause. NYPD Officer Denise Pitre certified several false statements that are contradicted by video recorded by Plaintiff. On September 24, 2012, all charges were dismissed.
