Description: On May 7, 2017, plaintiff Eric Via was approached by defendant NYPD officers JULIO VERAS, JOHN DOE and JOHN ROE, who, without just cause, probable cause or provocation, handcuffed and arrested the plaintiff in an excessive manner and with excessive force. Plaintiff ERIC VIA was booked and subjected to a strip search while in the custody of defendants without any legal reason or justification. Plaintiff ERIC VIA was arraigned after his arrest and thereafter falsely and maliciously prosecuted with committing a crime. Plaintiff ERIC VIA remained incarcerated for over 24 hours and was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges against him were terminated favorabl...
