Complaint
Description: On June 3, 2022, Plaintiffs and approximately five other individuals were lawfully hanging out in Brooklyn, when they observed several uniformed Defendant Officers walking towards them. Defendant approached one of the individuals and began questioning him about a bottle of liquor on the ground several feet away from the group. Plaintiffs pulled out their mobile phones to video record the sudden confrontation. but Defendant Officers slapped both Plaintiffs’ phones out of their hands, despite the fact that Plaintiffs were not interfering with the Defendant Officers’ ability to do their jobs.
