Description: On August 1, 2010, Plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed, questioned, searched and falsely arrested by Detective Thomas Markardt and other unnamed Police Officers in his home for murder. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct and then Central Booking, before going before a judge for arraignment. Plaintiff did not commit a crime and insisted he had no knowledge of the murder he was brought in for, but Detective Markardt claimed they had an eyewitness putting him at the scene of the crime. Detective Markardt had the eyewitness view a lineup that Plaintiff was placed in, but the eyewitness did not identify Plaintiff in said lineup.
