Complaint
Description: On June 4, 2019, plaintiff finished his prayers at a mosque and was on his way to his uncle's home when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, stopped, handcuffed, and arrested plaintiff. Plaintiff was not engaging in any illegal or criminal conduct. Plaintiff was then transported to the 44th precinct and detained with other prisoner. Nothing unlawful was found on plaintiff after a search. Plaintiff was released after a few hours and no charges were subsequently made against him. As a result of defendants' actions, plaintiff sustained physical injuries and emotional trauma.
