Description: On January 15, 2020, P.O. RUIZ, JOHN, or JANE DOE 1-3 illegally approached, stopped, detained, seized, searched, and arrested Plaintiff in the vicinity of 1944 Wet 10th Street, County of Kings. , P.O. RUIZ, JOHN, or JANE DOE 1-3 falsely accused Plaintiff and three other individuals of smoking and imbibing marijuana even though Plaintiff did not smoke. There was no odor of marijuana present. Ignoring Plaintiff’s statement, P.O. RUIZ, JOHN, or JANE DOE 1-3 illegally searched the vehicle and his belongings. , P.O. RUIZ, JOHN, or JANE DOE 1-3 allowed Plaintiff to leave without issuing any ticket and citation due to a lack of probable cause for his stop, detainment, and search and seizure of Plaintiff.
