Description: On May 22, 2019, Plaintiff was approached by Police Officers Jonathan Maranzano, Miguel Cruz and John or Jane Doe 1-10, solely because of his race. Maranzo and Cruz grabbed, struck, and restrained Plaintiff, who did not resist. Plaintiff was tasered multiple times, and metal handcuffs were forcibly affixed to his writs in an excessively tight fashion. The officers did not have lawful reason to approach, stop, seize or arrest Plainitff. As a result of the incident, Plaintiff suffered lacerations, contusions, hematomas, loss of consciousness, and was rendered incapacitated and lost range of movement in his torso, arms, wrists and hands.
