Description: On March 15, 2014, plaintiff was lawfully present at a street corner when he witnessed an altercation between a drug dealer and two other people. One of the other people accused plaintiff of having taken money from him. P.O. Christopher Rickford then questioned plaintiff about the allegation, and plaintiff said that he had run away when he saw the fight occur. Nonetheless, P.O.s Joseph Basso and Brett Bara arrested plaintiff. Plaintiff was denied his right to testify before the grand jury and indicted for grand larceny in the fourth degree and robbery in the second degree.
