Complaint
Description: On April 4, 2020, Plaintiff, a black American woman, was walking in her neighborhood in Manhattan when she observed Defendants, unknown police officers, dispersing a group of several adolescent Black youths who were enforcing social distancing guideline. Ina an apartment building she saw a police officer lifting one of the young boys from the neighborhood up by the neck and choking him. When she opened the door to the building to observe the police and she was immediately pepper sprayed by the Defendant officers without justification. As a result, she suffered physical and emotional damages.
