Description: On September 15, 2012, Sandra Fields and Sean McKeown, participating in an Occupy Wall Street sidewalk march, were unjustly targeted by NYPD officers. Lt. Stephen Latalardo violently pushed Fields to the ground, and both plaintiffs were arrested without cause. Officer Felix Schmidt informed McKeown of his arrest, conducted a search, and an unidentified officer stole McKeown's phone, allegedly for intelligence on the OWS movement. The plaintiffs were detained, and their belongings, including a protest banner, were not returned. Charges against them were eventually dismissed.
