Description: On October 19, 2021, Plaintiff was walking in his neighborhood when an unknown male initiated an altercation and knocked him to the ground. Video footage shows Plaintiff trying to get up off the ground and avoiding escalating the situation. PO Gloria Cevallos and Minator Kryeziu then arrived at the scene and tried to handcuff Plaintiff while he was still on the ground, without first announcing themselves or asking any questions. A confused Plaintiff attempted to stand up from the sidewalk while PO Cevallos held his arms behind his back. Description: On July 9, 2021, Wayne Harris-Wright (Plaintiff), while lawfully in the vicinity of Prospect Avenue and Dawson Street, County of Bronx, City and State of New York, was maliciously, intentionally and falsely accused by the defendants of having committed a crime. Defendants then took the Plaintiff to a police station in the County of Bronx and entered him on the records as under arrest, and was held him on various criminal charges at various police stations, correctional facilities and at the courthouse. A criminal complaint was issued by the defendants against the plaintiff without probable cause, reasonable cause or legal justification. The criminal action against Plaintiff was later terminated by dismissal.
