Complaint
Description: On January 3, 2022 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Plaintiff Phillip Hankins was lawfully inside the building located 1041 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, NY and grocery shopping with his wife. Defendant Western Retail Beef Inc. and several unnamed defendants approached Plaintiff when he was attempting to retrieve a grocery bag to purchase along with his groceries. Defendants battered and assaulted his person by, forcibly grabbing a grocery bag from Plaintiff’s hand, violently punching Plaintiff in his face with a closed fist, and then by grabbing Plaintiff’s walking cane and using it to bash his head and neck multiple times, causing Plaintiff to suffer substantial pain, injury to his face, head, and neck, the aggravation ...
