Description: On July 21, 2021, Police Officer {INSERT} Alioa and unknown officers approached Plaintiff on the sidewalk and detained him. Officers violently contorted Plaintiff's arms behind his back to handcuff him while ignoring complaints that the cuffs were placed on too tightly. Plaintiff's wrists and hands sustained loss of feeling, redness, and swelling. Plaintiff was transported to the precinct where he waws left ina cell for thirteen hours before being transported to Bellevue Hospital to treat injuries sustained as a result of officers battering and assaulting Plaintiff when attempting to remove his shoelaces.

Description: On July 5, 2021, while lawfully near Washington Square Park South in New York, the plaintiff witnessed police officers using excessive force to remove persons from the park during an unrelated activity. Attempting to use his flashlight to obtain a badge number, the plaintiff was struck twice by Defendant Officer Matos, who used his baton to knock the flashlight from his hand. As more defendant officers began chasing civilians, the plaintiff attempted to run but was grabbed, thrown to the ground, and jumped on by several officers.
