Zero Disposition
Complaint
Description: On July 1, 2015, plaintiff was driving when he noticed a friend in a dispute with NYPD Traffic Supervisor Mohammad Islam. Plaintiff stopped to ask if his friend needed assistance and took pictures of Islam parked in front of a fire hydrant. NYPD Officers William Grieshaber and Michael Fransson then arrived at the scene. After Islam accused plaintiff of scratching his vehicle, Officer Keith Burkitt arrived. Plaintiff was taken to the 100th Precinct and then to Central Booking. Defendants’ actions were in retaliation for plaintiff’s criticism of NYPD and his taking photographs of Islam's car. Plaintiff was falsely charged with obstructing governmental administration.
