Description: On July 11, 2016, plaintiff was walking on the sidewalk during a protest when she saw a NYPD officer abruptly grab her friend. After stepping off the sidewalk, she followed the officers transporting her handcuffed friend to the back of a NYPD wagon. Within a few seconds, an officer approached her from behind and arrested her. Defendant officers Mulvey and Vasquez provided false information about plaintiff's conduct which was then used to prosecute plaintiff. Plaintiff was acquitted of all charges.
