Description: On March 7, 2021, Plaintiffs (Stacy, Shadae, Oshane, and Diamond) were lawfully driving when they were pulled over by an unmarked police car. The police officers got out and dragged Plaintiffs out of their car. The officers repeatedly punched and beat Plaintiffs. Oshane was placed in a chokehold when the officers removed him from his vehicle. Shadae was shoved to the ground and was kneed on her back. Officers tased Shadae twice. Plaintiffs were then detained and taken into custody, where Plaintiffs were denied medical attention. All charges against Plaintiffs were dismissed.

Description: On April 13, 2011, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Plaintiff Dwinel Monroe was lying in bed in his apartment 3A6 at the Camden Residential Hotel at 206 West 95th Street in New York City, when he heard a loud banging on his door. Plaintiff went to the door, but did no open it. He heard voices outside the door and then the sound of a key opening the door. Defendant Officers Ganz and Leyden entered the room and they were accompanied by John Baisley, who was employed as a Security Officer for the Camden Residential Hotel. Mr. Baisley opened the door with a master key at the Defendants' request. The Defendants did not have a warrant to enter and the Plaintiff did not give them consent to enter.
