Complaint
Description: On April 21, 2022, Jayquan Brown (Plaintiff) was walking home from a doctor’s appointment when he was unlawfully stopped and arrested by defendants. Plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed, and when asked, defendants refused to tell Plaintiff why he was being arrested. Defendants searched plaintiff without consent, and nothing illegal was found on his person. Then, plaintiff was unlawfully taken in handcuffs to the 48th precinct where he was placed in a holding cell. While in custody, defendants provided the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office with the false, misleading and/or incomplete information that Plaintiff committed a crime.
