Description: On January 18, 2013, Plaintiff, an African-American woman, was inside her home when Defendant Marquez and NYPD officers broke down her apartment door and entered her apartment. All the defendant officers were Caucasian, including defendant Jayne Petrillo, who strip-searched Plaintiff for drugs in her apartment. Despite not finding any drugs, the officers took her out of her apartment in custody. She was placed in a NYPD police van and taken to the 48th precinct. Plaintiff was not permitted to use restroom facilities despite her request and was caused the indignity of urinating in her clothing while in the van with male prisoners.
