Description: On or about February 14, 2019, in front of a Domino's Pizza in Manhattan, Plaintiff J. M. was unlawfully arrested by Defendants NYPD Police Officers John Doe 1 and John Doe 2. Plaintiff had initially flagged down the officers to report two men who had negligently broken the Plaintiff's phone. After talking to the men, the officers claimed that the two men were accusing Plaintiff of robbery. Plaintiff explained that this story was inconsistent with him -- the putative robber -- flagging down the cops. Nevertheless, Defendants arrested Plaintiff forcefully handcuffing him against his will and without his consent, causing J. M. to suffer bruising, lacerations, pain and discomfort.
