Complaint
Description: On December 22, 2019, POS arrested Plaintiff without cause on 164 Street and Jamaica Avenue with charging “fraudulent accosting,” “possession of a gambling device,” “promoting gambling in the second degree,” and “Loitering.” When Plaintiff was on the way to meet his brother, he saw people running from the area and ran for his safety. Nevertheless, POS forcibly tackled Plaintiff and tightly handcuffed Plaintiff with his hands placed behind his back, causing him to experience pain and numbness. POs did not find any contraband from unlawful search. POs refused Plaintiff’s requests to provide him with medical care or attention. Because the POs falsely provided information, the Plaintiff was falsely prosecuted. On D...
