Description: On July 19 2014, Plaintiff witnessed a fellow employee assault a second employee. When police arrived and began to arrest the victim of the assault, Plaintiff professionally informed the officers of their mistake. An officer then proceeded to arrest Plaintiff even though he was a witness, illegally searched him and transported him to the 6th Precinct. There he was tightly handcuffed and shackled, sustaining injuries. Officers created false paperwork accusing the Plaintiff of disorderly conduct. After 19 hours in custody, at arraignment all charges were adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.

Description: On June 17, 2013, Plaintiff was working in a small Deli in Manhattan when Defendant Officers entered the Deli to arrest a customer in the store. Plaintiff remained behind the counter but wanted to capture the violent arrest on camera so he reached for another employee's phone. When Plaintiff held up the phone Defendant Officer saw it and placed him under arrest. After approximately 24 hours in custody Plaintiff was released and after several court appearances charges were dismissed.
