Description: On October 27, 2020, Plaintiff was lawfully present on a sidewalk, while participating in a demonstration in Brooklyn. Defendant officer Julio Delgado approached Plaintiff and forcibly pulled back on her hood and choked her. Defendant Delgado screamed "arrest" and 4 other NYPD officers rushed over. Defendant Officer #1 grabbed and restrained plaintiff's arms and pushed her against a glass wall. Defendant Officer #5 charged the scene and tackled Plaintiff and slammed her against a glass window. Defendant Officer #6 also joined the scene and brutally punched Plaintiff's right arm and back. Plaintiff alleges false arrest and excessive force and emotional injuries.

Description: On July 4th 2020, Plaintiff attended a march in Foley Square for black and queer lives. At the protest, Police Officer John Doe 1 and 2 hit Plaintiff multiple times and knocked over several others with batons. Description: On June 4, 2020 in connection with a larger protest about the killing of George Floyd, Plaintiffs Alyssa Sukana was part of a group of protestors who was trapped in an NYPD "kettle" formation. Eventually, an NYPD officer pushed her into a car and another officer handcuffed her with plastic zip ties and held in total for 6 hours before being released. Plaintiff Andrea Canedo similarly was pushed against a car and then a fence by an NYPD officer who then ziptied her hands extremely tightly. NYPD officer then removed plaintiff's backpack and forced it around her neck for 4-5 hours. Neither plaintiff was charged.
