Description: On July 23, 2011, Plaintiff was walking down the hall when lawfully visiting his friend's residence when officers, including Officer Justin R. Lopez, approached him. The officers threw Plaintiff up against the wall and unlawfully searched him. They recovered no contraband. Plaintiff asked the officers why they were harassing him, but was told to shut up. He was placed in handcuffs and transported to the precinct. At the precinct, the officers, including Officer Lopez, falsely informed the DA's Office that they had observed Plaintiff tampering with evidence. Plaintiff's criminal charges were adjourned in contemplation of dismissal.
