Description: On September 20, 2010, while outside of a building located at 1175 East 229th Street in the Bronx, Mr. Lopez was subjected to an illegal search, thrown to the ground, falsely arrested, and transported to the 47th precinct and arraigned on criminal possession of a controlled substance. Mr. Lopez was unlawfully incarcerated for seven days on Riker's Island where he was subjected to assaults by other inmates. After several court appearances, the case was dismissed on December 27, 2012.
