Description: On April 10, 2021, the plaintiffs were lawfully present inside a residential apartment building but did not reside there. NYPD officers, including SHANIECE HICKS,
BRANDON PATANE, PHILIP DITTO and other unknown officers arrived and took plaintiffs into custody at gunpoint without any probable cause or any other legal justification. Plaintiff remained in custody at the precinct for hours until they were transported to a Central Booking. They remained held there until the late evening hours of April 12, 2021, when The Kings County District Attorney declined to prosecute the plaintiffs at that time.
