Description: On June 18, 1992, when Mr. Sharrif Wilson was 15 years old, his friend Tony Yarbough's mother, younger sister, and sister's best friend were murdered in the Yarbough home. Tony went to the 60th Precinct to give a statement to the police and Sharrif accompanied him for support. Concurrently, detectives received detailed descriptions of the likely killers from witnesses. Description: On June 18, 1992, Plaintiff found his mother, little sister, and family friend murdered in his apartment. They had been tied up, stabbed, and garroted with electrical cords. Plaintiff immediately reported the crime and went to the precinct to assist the investigation. Instead of trying to solve the case, Detectives at the 60th Precinct falsely accused Plaintiff and his friend, Sharrif Wilson, of killing the three people. Officers, led by Lt. James Luongo, coerced Sharrif into falsely confessing on videotape and manipulated Plaintiff into signing his name to a false account of the incident written out by detectives.
