Description: On February 26, 2011, Plaintiff was talking with a friend on the street. NYPD officers pulled up in their car and demanded that Plaintiff approach and show Plaintiff’s identification. The officers jumped out of their car and told Plaintiff to raise his hands. Plaintiff and Plaintiff’s friend’s car were searched, and no illegal substances were recovered. Plaintiff was held at the scene for approximately thirty minutes while additional officers arrived and searched the nearby sidewalk, house, and yards without probable cause. Eventually, the officers claimed to have found a weapon not in his possession or his vicinity and placed Plaintiff under arrest. Plaintiff was arraigned under a criminal court complaint sign...
