Description: On July 11, 2020, when the plaintiff walked out of his home and passed by a playground, several NYPD officers, including Officer Nicholas Haspil, approached the plaintiff and tackled him into the playground gate, accusing him of possessing a firearm. Even though the plaintiff denied knowing anything about a gun, the defendant officer pinned his knee into the plaintiff's back, pushing the side of his head into the gate, and searched him. Despite no weapons or any other contraband being found, the plaintiff was arrested and taken to a precinct.
