Description: On September 29, 2022, Plaintiff Shahid Woodstock, a 22-year-old resident of Kings County, was lawfully present on a public sidewalk when he was unlawfully pursued and shot from behind in the leg by Defendant Police Officer David Barker. Defendant Barker fired at least one additional shot, striking a doorframe near Plaintiff's head. Plaintiff made it into the lobby of his building as he collapsed to the floor, bleeding profusely from the gunshot wound. Defendant NYPD members then broke down the lobby door, Defendant Police Officer Randy Paulsaint pointed his gun at the Plaintiff while he laid in his own blood pleading with defendant not to shoot, and Defendant Paulsaint threatened him.
