Complaint
Description: On July 5, 2013, Defendant officers suddenly grabbed Plaintiff as he was lawfully walking and threw Plaintiff on the ground. Officers began kicking and punching him, and as a result, Plaintiff suffered serious physical injuries. Due to the severe beating, Plaintiff suffered numerous physical injuries and repeatedly asked for medical attention but was denied. After several hours, EMS was called to the precinct and determined Plaintiff needed to be transferred to the hospital for injuries sustained from the officers’ excessive force. On July 6, 2013, Plaintiff was transported to Bronx Central Booking and because Plaintiff could not post bail, he was transferred to the Department of Correction.

Description: The Plaintiff was in the hallway in the apartment building where he lived when he was unlawfully arrested, improperly searched and subjected to excessive force by defendants. The defendant officers choked the plaintiff, hit him with batons, was tightly handcuffed, and then taken to PSA 8, then to the 47th Precinct, and then to Bronx Central Booking. The officers made false statements resulting in the plaintiff having to come to court 5 times until the unspecified charges were dismissed.
